Run The Dream was a coast-to-coast solo run across Canada by Jonathan Howard of Mississauga , Ontario to raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and funds in support of charities that work to assist children with ASD and their families. Jonathan started his run in St. John’s , Newfoundland on March 25, 2008, and when he completed his journey on December 18 he had travelled 8,020.4 kilometres in 199 “Running Days” As far as we know Jonathan is the youngest person to run the longest distance in Canada . Earlier on the 18th, in a press release (available through the link above) the Honourable Steven Point Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia said, “We should all give back when and as often as we can and it is my privilege to congratulate Jonathan on the completion of his journey and thank him for his unwavering commitment to his cause.”
